Designed to introduce the participants to the practical skills, aspects, techniques and applications confined to the topic through a fundamental interaction with a reputed professor who is associated in this field with limited participants. Participants shall be able to get an insight about the interaction between light and matter . How the absorption of uv light by chemical compounds results in production of distinct spectra and so on.Also how infrared spectroscopy is used to study.

Time required: - 3 hours with a break and space for discussion, and if possible discourse (includes both theoretical and practical demonstration)

The participants will be given a questionnaire at the end of the workshop.
