CheMystery

A mystery-cum-chemistry event organized by the department of Chemical Sciences. As the name suggests, chemistry and mystery will be ruling the core of this event and its various levels. Basically,participants have to find the way behind the story and there will be a common story which will connect all the levels and using the clues they have to solve the mystery .As the level advances,clues will be more difficult to untangle but interesting.

Details

    ROUNDS:

    There will be three levels

     Level 1: It will be conducted through audio visual mode. Participants will be shown a few slides ,they have to carefully observe them and listen to the audio to solve the mystery.There will be one another case whose clues will be given in the successive rounds.

    Level 2: This level will be conducted through pen paper mode. Participants will be given a few questions where the clues will be given and answering those questions they have to reach the next round.

    Level 3:This will be the final round which will be a live demonstration for clear conception. There will be a set up for the participants so that they can connect all the clues and finally reach the main Culprit of the story .

    Guidelines:

    • Time alloted to all the levels will be 15 minutes    
    •  4 or 5 star questions will be there Elimination will be in the second round based on the marks participants score after attaining all the questions till second round.
    •  There is no negative marking. In case of tie number of star questions answered will be considered. 
    • Each question in first round will carry 3 marks.
    • Each question in second round will carry 1.5 mark
    • For the third round where participants will reach the Culprit of the three interlinked levels will carry 5 marks.
    • Winners will be declared on the basis of the marks obtained in final round.

     TIE BREAKING 

    In case there are joint winners, the scores from the first level to the last level will be calculated and the one with greater score will be declared as the winner.

    This event is open for all.

Registration Fees

You can register for CheMystery by paying a common registration fee of Rs. 20/- and can participate in any of the Common Registration Event.
